I had never heard the word Glutathione before...and this Doctor hadn't either!

Glutathione, what a word it is, took me long enough to learn to spell it let alone learn what its capability was. All I knew when I started was that by taking Protandim my Glutathione would be up-regulated by 300%, I knew it was an antioxidant... both of which sounded good to me. I don't feel so bad about the length of time it took me to wrap my head around it, at least I now know what it is, there are doctors that have not even heard the word, check out the above video, this doctor is a perfect example and he admits it!

Glutathione is an antioxidant and detoxifier in humans, animals, plants, fungi, and even some bacteria. So we all have it, and it is very important because it exists in every cell in the body. The significance of it existing within the cell is it's in the prime position to neutralize free radicals, its also in the cells of our immune system, whose job is to fight disease. Glutathione is said to help the liver remove chemicals that are foreign to the body, such as drugs and pollutants.

Its a powerful antioxidant. "If you look in a hospital situation at people who have cancer, AIDS, or other very serious disease, almost invariably they are depleted in glutathione," says Jeremy Appleton, ND. "The reasons for this are not completely understood, but we do know that glutathione is extremely important for maintaining intracellular health."

It seems to be well known supplementing Glutathione is not an effective means of absorbing it, in fact its said that supplementing directly into a vein may be effective. Though here we have Nrf2 activation which up regulates the production of glutathione, so your body is creating its own antioxidants instead of trying to supplement it.

Check out my other posts to learn my thoughts through researching, oxidative stress, mitochondria, Protandim (the little yellow pill), Lifevantage, Doctors Reviews, and anything that comes to my mind about our cellular health and what I have learned!

Thanks for reading.
